Lamb’s ear/ezelsoor

This plant goes by the name of Lamb’s ear (in Dutch: donkey’s ear, in French rabbit’s ear). The reason for this funny name is the fact that its leaves are very soft to the touch and feel like, well lamb’s ears 🙂 Wikipedia says it is used a lot for children’s garden. A bit weird as the plant also attracts bees in droves.Els-163middelgroot Els-168middelgroot Els-184middelgroot Els-185middelgroot Els-190middelgroot  Els-195middelgroot Els-197middelgroot Els-199middelgroot Els-203middelgroot

Does anyone know why this ‘bee’ looks different from all the others?Els-204middelgroot  Els-207middelgroot Els-210middelgroot Els-212middelgroot
